In 2011 Justin Fashanu was inducted into the Norwich City Hall of fame while Chief Executive David McNally knitted a pink & black scarf to show support for Football v Homophobia which was founded in memory of the ex-Canary. As well as working with the LGBT fan group Proud Canaries, the club always fully embrace anti-homophobia and inclusion initiatives such as Football v Homophobia’s month of action and Stonewall’s Rainbow Laces – Delia Michael and Ed Balls have proudly sported their Football v Homophobia banners and a number of players; John Ruddy, Russell Martin, Leroy Fer, Rickie Van Wolfswinkel, Robert Snodgrass, Elliott Bennett, Wes Hoolahan, Josh Murphy, Stephen Whittaker, Robbie Brady, and Nathan Redmond have advocated for LGBT inclusion. For the first time in 2016 when a home fixture coincided with the Norwich Pride celebration a Rainbow Flag was flown at Carrow Road and Captain Canary joined the Pride Parade.
